2021 Facts

 Today I and my class were learning about facts from Coast to C

oast its another race in 2022.    So many people are joining.

 A few months ago our teacher told us to do a collage.A collage is when you get different things and mix it all together. I did a tiger head with a zebra body, dog legs and toucan mouth. Then I thought it would be funny to add shoes . This my creation. Have you ever done a collage?

This week the year 5 and 6 went to camp so it was only us year 4 so we were the ones doing the jobs year 6 had to do.We did the bikes ,the flags, the PE  shed, the peer mediation.Today we finshed our art we did all week.Our art was daffodil's we had to colour them in and than cut them out and we glued the daffodil's onto a black peice of paper. Next we got some paint and cotton buds and dabbed the paint all around the daffodil's.Have you done this type of art before?

El Gregoe

On Wednesday  This guy called El Gregoe came to our school to show us some magic tricks. He comes once in a while. He pulled out a real bird that was  drawn on a black board . He put a boy named Sam on a wooden bed  and then put  a red blanket on Sam and took away the middle of the bed and the bottom of the bed and Sam floated. Then he made a parrot come out of a butterfly scarf.Have you ever been to a magic show?

Crystals

 This is Potassium permananate.  We dissolved it in boiling hot water and we are waiting for crystals to grow. iIlike it because of the colour. Mrs Hickford was really careful because it would stain her clothes. We passed it around so we could all have turns mixing.   

Notan art

Last week we did Notan's  for our calendar art. Our teacher Mrs Hickford and Chris helped us  learn about the positive and negative space.I found the cutting out really hard but hopefully I will get better. do you like art because i LOVE! art.

Egg experiment

2 weeks ago at assembly Mrs King our principal Told  every single class.To try make an egg bounce! In our class. We got vinegar and 2 eggs .We put the two eggs in the vinegar and waited till the next day.In the morning we went to look at the eggs before class started. Most of the shell was floating on top in the water. 

Here's an example.We waited another day until we can test it.In the middle of the day we looked at the eggs and they felt so weird, rubbery, squishy and slimy. They still had a bit of the shell on the sides .We went outside to test the eggs .We got a ruler and a bucket so it doesn't make a mess.First we tried it at 10 cm.It bounced! Than we tried it at 20 cm.It popped! it sounded so weird when it popped .We all poked the yoke and it went all runny.The membrane, that's the part that held the egg inside, felt stretchy.Have you made an egg bounce?
